You Won't Believe These NEW Plot Details For Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

A brand new featurette for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them has just been released on Pottermore, and we are SCREAMING.

  1. 1

First, here's the entire featurette in all its author-infused glory.

  2. 2

So, here's what the story seems to be about:

Newt Scamander, played by Eddie Redmayne and pictured here, is traveling the world, discovering and collecting magical creatures while also being awkward and adorable.

  3. 3

So, he gets to New York and meets some lovely new people:

Jacob Kowalski (left), a No-Mag, and Tina Goldstein (right), an American Witch. Do they look like they're being threatened right now? They probably are. They're at the American version of the Ministry of Magic (MACUSA) and the people behind them are a pair very intimidating aurors. (Not pictured, Newt on the far right with a very intimidating auror of his own.)

  4. 4

American wizards and witches have this weird thing going on where they can't even really be friends with muggles. Excuse me. No-mages. (It's because of the Salem Witch Trials. They definitely don't want a repeat of that.)

Here we see Colin Farrell as very scary auror/enforcer of that cultural decision, Percival Graves. We know from the April teaser trailer that he's going to be playing a pretty big role in this beautiful mess of an adventure.

  5. 5

So, a lot of the big to-do seems to be about Jacob opening Newt's magic case, where he keeps all of his magical creatures.

Like Pandora drawn to the box, so too is Jacob Kowalski drawn to this magic box.

  6. 6

    And chaos ensues?

    As one would hope.

  7. 7

What we know for sure, though, is that it's going to be one thrilling ride, and we can't wait for November!

We're all as excited about this film as Newt appears to be about plants in this photo.

  8. 8

    Bonus: THIS ADORABLE TRICKSY BOWTRUCKLE

Are you as excited for this movie as we are? Are you excited by the mere presence of the bowtruckle alone? Let us know in the comments below! And be sure to share with your friends to see what they think, as well! You can see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in theaters November 18, 2016!
