This Woman Had Her Body Photoshopped To The Beauty Standards Of 18 Different Countries And The Differences Are Shocking
One model wanted to do an experiment to see what the differences are in beauty standards worldwide, so she sent a photo of herself to Photoshoppers in 18 countries, and these are the unbelievable results.
Here is the original photo of the model:
Argentina just generally made her more petite.
South Africa slimmed her down and lightened her skin.
Venezuela gave her big hair and changed her shoes from pink to gray.
Spain just slimmed her down the tiniest bit and gave her a slightly darker Mediterranean glow.
The USA added a major thigh gap and gave her a very intense hourglass, but did keep a lot of her curves.
China may have gone with a different model altogether.
Colombia loves redheads, apparently.
The Philippines kept a lot of the proportions similar.
The Netherlands decided they needed boots.
Peru thinned the upper half of her body but left the lower half alone.
Syria moved her crotch?
Egypt went a little darker and gave her some REALLY defined curves.
Romania gave her a thigh gap, and that's about it.
Italy changed nearly everything, down to the color of her underwear and shoes.
Ukraine loves red and significantly smaller women.
Mexico gave her a tan and quite a different body.
The U.K. did a lot of proportion-shifting.
Serbia added makeup and did quite a bit of shrinking.
