8 Dirty Jokes In "The Lion King" You Totally Missed As A Kid
Trust me when I say I know a lot of people who grew up with Disney's "The Lion King" and they loved it and I don't blame them. It's a great movie, one of my all time Disney favorites (way better than Frozen!). but like many other Disney movies, this film had it's dirty jokes they snuck into it. In fact, there are SO MANY dirty jokes in this particular Disney movie, I decided to do a top 8!
Now I know what some of you are thinking: some people just have dirty minds but nobody really knows if this image was purely coincidental or if it wasn't...
In this scene right between the I Just Can't Wait To Be King sequence and elephant graveyard scene, Simba and Nala begin to argue about whose idea it was to trick Zazu, until Simba attacks her and she pins him to the ground in a VERY SUGGESTIVE position. If I were Simba in this scene, let's just say I'd be very turned on...
Shenzi Likes Mufasa...In A Weird Way
In this scene right before Scar's Be Prepared song, Scar mentions Mufasa's name, to which Shenzi, one of the three hyenas, replies "man, I just hear that name and I shudder!". Banzai, another hyena, gives her a look of >:) and says his name repeatedly until she falls to the floor shaking and laughing, and says "it tingles me". Well, that's not sexual at all...
So there's a scene in the movie where Simba and Nala are about to take off for the elephant graveyard and their mothers are giving them baths with their tongues. And then this shot happens. Um, do I have to say it?
Timon saying ''Ass''
So in the scene where Nala goes chasing after Pumbaa with the intent of eating him, he gets stuck under a root and Timon tries to push him free as Nala runs at both of them. Then Timon says to Pumbaa "Geez, why do I always have to save your...AAAAAHHH!" as Nala prepares to pounce on them before Simba jumps out and fights her. Yep, Timon pretty much said the word ''ass'' in The Lion King.
Can You Feel The Love Tonight?! >:)
Let's talk about that romantic scene where Simba and Nala fall in love in the forest to that cheesy Elton John tune ''Can You Feel The Love Tonight?". There are so many innuendos in this scene, it's just unbelievable that this movie got a G rating. Let's start with the title of the song: Can you FEEL the love tonight? replace the word "love" with "earthquake" and that sums up what this scene was secretly implying. Simba and Nala end up playing, and they fall down a hill. When they reach the bottom, he lands on her. Then, she gives him this stare. A very seductive stare that every man who isn't a virgin has seen before. Then, at the end of the movie, they have a cub. Uh huh! >:)
The Infamous "Glowing Dust" Scene
Everyone has heard of this one. The old rumor that the dust Simba knocks over when he lies on the cliff spells out "SEX". The animators said otherwise and that it said "SFX". yeah, OK...
Simba and Nala (''pukes")... Are Related!
Yep, that's right. Simba and Nala are either cousins or half-siblings. Why? Because Mufasa and Scar are the only male lions in the pride. This means one of them mated with Nala's mom and she was born! The worst part and the part that proves this popular theory: That's how real lions work. The pride usually has one or two males who mates with ALL the females. Which includes moms, aunts, sisters, grandmas, daughters, nieces, it goes on and on. For all we know, Mufasa, Scar, Sarabi, and Sarafina are all siblings. That's, unfortunately, how it works in the wild!
